This is a tool that calculates share pricing information, such as the P/E ratio, dividend yield and the PEG ratio, for up to 3 companies, and displays the results in tabular form for easy comparison.

The tool is multi-directional and, therefore, determines the information that needs to be calculated based on which data has been entered. For example, though it may be the most typical scenario to enter a share price and earnings per share, and calculate the P/E ratio, it is also possible to enter the earnings per share and P/E ratio and determine the share price.

In more detail, the information that can be entered and/or calculated is:

• The share price.
• The earnings per share.
• The P/E ratio, or price-to-earnings ratio.
• The dividend.
• The dividend yield. This is usually expressed in percentage terms (unless the formatting is explicitly set to express it as a decimal).
• The growth rate. This is usually expressed in percentage terms (unless the formatting is explicitly set to express it as a decimal).
• The PEG ratio, or price/earnings to growth ratio.
